...through the looking glass...
Hmmmm, … cryptic as ever, Wendy. "i could possibly seewhat is not there"Interesting how our fears can present themselves, and our hopes, too.To which of those are you referring?
This was just something that came to me the other night and while I found some poetic beauty in it it was definitely about fears. I was a little surprised when you mentioned hopes, Rob-bear. This is certainly an aspect I will explore in this further and I truly thank you for that.
I love this. Really, I've saved it. It sends shivers down my spine. I feel like I can relate so much, in my own way, of course. Thanks so much for sharing! It reminds me of "as I was going up the stair, I met a man who wasn't there, he wasn't there again today, I wish, I wish, he'd stay away"
Oh, Jac, yes, that is so true. I hadn't realised until you said it but the sentiment that lurks beneath both, the state of mind, the echos in the hallway, are the same. Of course, the tone of banter from the rhyme is much more subtly powerful, the childish flavoured lunacy works so much better than my words. Love it!
